Description
Picturesquely situated in the middle of the Biała Lądecka River Valley, on the slopes of the Złote Mountains, one of the oldest European resorts. The Lądek thermal waters have been known to the patients for over 750 years.
The mountain views encourage visitors to take walks and plan longer sightseeing excursions. In the resort part of the town you can find a beautiful park and within it an old Resort House dating from the second half of the XVII century. Among more recent attractions there is arboretum - a fairy-tale garden with many exotic trees and bushes.
In winter the entusiasts of the white fluff can use numerous ski lifts, line railway and very well prepared five slopes in the Czarna Góra Skiing Complex.
However, in the middle of the Złote Mountains, almost at the foot of the Śnieżnik Peak, one can not only drink mineral curative waters, relax or ski but also work and improve professional abilities. The GEOVITA Conference and Recreation Centre invites organizers of training courses and motivational trips to make use of its modern complex of conference rooms. The additional advantage of the Centre is the base of biological renewal treatments, recreational and sports facilities and the possibility to organize coach or pick-up rides.
If you have some free time, you should visit the Niedźwiedzia Cave, see the sunrise from the Śnieżnik, labirynth and fortifications in Kłodzko, thirteenth century basilica in Wambierzyce and the Skull Chapel in Kudowa-Czermna.
